Customers that call me try to describe their logo’s visual ideas over the phone. It’s not always easy task to achieve what you trying to portray verbally. I ask such customers to draw pencil sketch rough draft and take a photo with mobile device and email over to me. I always tell this to my customers that I have to see how much time it will take me to work on it. I don’t want to overcharge or undercharge my customers.
Once I receive sketch I can even trace it by mouse with pen tool in adobe illustrator which is one of the top user VECTOR GRAPHICS programs known today. I brainstorm ideas in a list on piece of paper before going to computer I must have solid concept so I don’t get stuck in front of computer for hours thinking and wasting time. I do research also on my clients’ competitors’ logos so I don’t copy someone else’s artwork to avoid copyright issues.
